Feeding guide
Performance horses, pregnant or lactating mares, and growing foals need 1.5% to 2% of body weight in Complete Performance per day. Idle horses need only 1% to 1.5%. Never feed more than 2%.
Example: a 1,000 lb performance horse needs 15–20 lb a day; a 1,000 lb idle horse needs 10–15 lb. “Performance” means worked almost daily. Always provide fresh water.
